stewartStewart Gregory “Greg” Willis, age 59, Russellville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Russellville Hospital.

Greg graduated from Russellville High School, after enjoying playing football and being in the Drama Department. He moved to California where he became a Highway Patrol officer. After moving back to Russellville, he enjoyed many different jobs, especially his last job which was rescuing animals, and providing a home for them. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He had the ability to love others and found the good in everyone he knew. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The visitation will be 2:00 -4:00 p.m. Friday, May 06, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with a memorial service following at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel.

He is survived by his love of his life, Mary Jane Reed Willis, who he lovingly called “Lil Sweet” and “the Bomb”, children, Kade Willis, Garrett Willis, Christine Brower; grandson, Henry Joe “Booder Bear” Brower; special cousin, Sharon & Robert Hamilton; best friends, Dan “Bro” & Diane Campbell, Joe & Nancy Motta; as well as several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Charles Willis and Peggy Sue Laster Willis.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the Greg Willis Memorial Fund at Listerhill Credit Union to aid in the further rescue and care of animals.
