Funeral service for Charlie Smith, 65, will be Friday, May 6, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith died on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Merit Health Biloxi. He was born July 29, 1950, in Morgan County to Frank Bunyam Smith and Ida Estelle Hunter Smith. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier and loved to write poetry and songs. He loved art and published a book of Poetry. He never met a stranger and was always a sharp dresser. He was preceded in death by his parents.
