Carter Scott Lemons, 11, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in the Van Buren Community as the result of a four- wheeler accident. He was born February 15, 2005 in Tupelo to Jason and Shalane Lewis Lemons. He was an active member of Lakeland Baptist Church. He was in the fifth grade at Mantachie Attendance Center. He loved baseball, video games, and swimming. But most of all , He loved Jesus. He was a compassionate, loving person, and he tried to live each day according to his favorite verse, I Corinthians 10:31.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Lakeland Baptist Church in Mantachie with Bro. Kelly Knight and Bro. C.D. Currie officiating. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include parents, Jason and Shalane Lemons; 0ne sister, Larissa Lemons, of the home; his grandparents, Cathryn Garcia (Rick) of Olympia, WA; Robert Lemons of Tumwater, WA; Sherry Pounds of Golden, and Farion Lewis of Marietta.
Honorary pallbearers will be his Rebelution baseball team. Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Friday at Lakeland Baptist Church.
