Funeral for Louise Tolbert, 89, of Decatur, will be Monday, April 25, 2016, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Scotty Letson officiating. Burial will be in Courtland Cemetery. Visitation will be today, April 24, 2016, 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tolbert, who died Friday, April 22, 2016, in Decatur, was born May 30, 1926, to Frank Jones and Fanny Peebles Jones. She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Elmo Tolbert; two sons, Steven Tolbert and Danny Tolbert; her parents; and siblings, Nan Lanier, Bob Jones, Alvis Jones, Annie Weeks, Jack Jones, Bud Jones, Johnny Jones, and Fletcher Jones.
Survivors include four sons, Billy (Hillary) Tolbert, Ronnie Tolbert, Tommy (Gail) Tolbert, and Jeff (Tammie) Tolbert; five daughters, Joyce (Carl) Norton, Joan (Danny) Appleton, Jean (Jerry) Stewart, Janet Malloy, and Julie Praitano; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, B.H. Jones, Casey Jones, Margaret Rikard, Linda Ray, Dorothy Nell, Brenda, Roger Jones, Marty Jones, and Tootie Roberts.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
