Jackie Myrick Williams – Obituary

Jackie Myrick Williams, 83, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. She was a member of Rogersville United Methodist Church and retired from Anderson Post Office.

Visitation will be today from noon-2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow immediately in the chapel with David Rushlow, Jamey Cosby, and Robert Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Childers, Mike Liveoak, Harry Belue, Wesley Sinyard, Dean Cosby, and Al Corley.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Fannie Myrick; husband, Leo “Scrapper” Williams; and brother, Dewey Myrick.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Rickey) Haraway, Susan (Jamey) Cosby, John (Sheree) Williams, and Joe (Cynthia) Williams; sister, Lois “Dottie” Myrick; grandchildren, Stacey (Joey) Glover, Miranda (Brian) Howard, Jake Cosby (fiancee, Laura Kachelman), Matt (Staci) Williams, Haley Williams, Kayla Gibson, Nathan Williams, Alyssa Williams, Jeffrey, Dalton, and Theia; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lakin, Sydney, and Austin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to caregivers, Teresa White, Cynthia Butler, Charity and Tammy Timbes, Leanna Rencarge and Hospice of the Shoals and nurse, Vikki Stout.

Jackie was an extremely talented lady. She loved sewing, gardening, painting, and could do anything she set her mind to. Her entire life was devoted to her family and her home. She was a Christian, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
