Charles Raymond Langley, 69, of Florence, passed away April 19, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Fordyce, Arkansas January 07, 1947. Mr. Langley served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam with the 5th Special Forces; worked as a Lock and Dam Operator for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers until he retired in 2003; and was retired from the Alabama Army National Guard 115th Signal Battalion.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10 – 12 Noon at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Langley was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Margaret Langley; daughter, Pamela Langley; and a brother, Luther Langley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Anna Ory Langley of Florence; sons, Anthony Langley (Noelle) of Huntsville, Matthew Langley and fiancée, Abby Dutcher of Fort Wayne, Indiana; granddaughter, Alexis Rose Langley of South Bend, Indiana; and a brother, Steven Langley of Fordyce, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be David B. Gooch, Bobby Dolan, David H. Gooch, Charles Clemmons, Sonny King, and Robert Brite.
