Funeral for Sherry Jones Mears, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Bell officiating.Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2016, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in King Cemetery, Town Creek.
Mrs. Mears, age 58, who died April 15, 2016, at her residence, was born Feb. 11, 1958 in Lawrence County to David Jones and Lenora Parker Jones. She was a homemaker and self employed. She was a member of Moulton Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rickey Jones; sisters, Kathy Romans, Diane Johnson, and Panzy Plank.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Mears; sons, Christopher Jones (Barbara), Hillsboro and Astian Mears, Courtland; daughters, Christy Jones (Nathan), Misty Kelly (Patrick), both of Hillsboro, and Samantha Corbin (Kenneth), Courtland; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Ronnie Jones (Marie), David Jones Jr., both of Moulton, and Mickey Jones (Katherine), Michigan; and sister, Shanna Bates, Moulton.
Pallbearers will be Preston Mears Jr., Dustin Mears, Kylan Jones, Chris Truss, Tony Jones, and Eric Jones.
