Graveside service for Mrs. Sandra Carol Smith Simms age 65, of New Markert, Al; will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Rose Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Don Schultz and Bro. Mike Johnson officiating. Mrs. Simms passed away April 15, 2016 in Huntsville Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Horace and Muscedas Pearl Towry Smith. Mrs. Simms was a devoted Army spouse in Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Springfield, VA, Huntsville, AL, Germany and Italy.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years Gary Ned Simms of New Market, AL; brother Jeff (Dianna) Smith of Harvest, AL; and sister-in-law Cherry Smith of Fayetteville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Jim Smith.
There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to assist the family of Mrs. Sandra Carol Smith Simms.
