Barbara Stanfield Johnson, 81, passed away April 10, 2016, at Glenwood Rehab Center. She was a lifetime member of Highland Baptist Church in Florence and currently attending the Mighty Presence Church in Spring Valley, Alabama. She was also a member of the Pilots Club in Florence and sang with The Grace Notes.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016, from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with Rusty Holt and Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Springs Cemetery in Barton, Alabama. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Wyman Guy and Millie Hargett Hamilton; husband, Bruce H. Stanfield; brother, Charles Hamilton, and brother-in-law, James Glass.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Johnson; son, Rodney B. Stanfield (Lori), of Florence; daughters, Suzanne Haynes (Ernie), of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Rita Holt (Rusty), of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Annette Green (Kevin), of Florence; brother, Guy Hamilton (Mickie), of Florence; sister, Elizabeth Glass, of Russellville; grandchildren, Alan Holt, of New York, Amber Thomas (Bryan), of Knoxville, Tennessee, Annemarie, Merri Beth, Gracie, Laura, and Robert Stanfield, all of Florence, and Ryan and Kyle Green, of Florence; and great-grandchild, Barrett Thomas.
Beloved nephews and great-nephews will serve as pallbearers.
