Elizabeth Lou McKinney Norwood – Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Lou McKinney Norwood of Minor Hill passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016. She was born in Stella, Tennessee on November 14, 1917 and was 98 years of age.
Mrs. Norwood was a loving wife to the late Robert Thurman Norwood, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She started teaching 4th grade at Minor Hill School in 1952 and continued to do so for 27 years. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, Sunday School teacher, and was Librarian for the Minor Hill Library for several years.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 2nd from 12:00 until 2:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in Pulaski.
Funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00pm on Saturday in the Chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Bruce White officiating.
Burial will be in Minor Hill Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thurman Norwood, sisters, Margaret Jackson, Bertha Lee Odeneal, Evelyn Davis and a brother, Harry “Buddy” Stacy McKinney.
She is survived by her,
Son, Dr. Bob (Faye) Norwood of Pulaski
Son, Jack (Tammie) Norwood of Minor Hill
Daughter, Dr. Judy (Jim) Stewart of Fayetteville
Grandchildren, Cindy Landham, Stacy Norwood, Nick Norwood, Nevin Norwood, Nissa Hernandes, Jon Stewart and Jess Stewart.
18 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Elizabeth Lou McKinney Norwood.
