Funeral service for David V. Day, 79, will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Owens officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. His body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Day died on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Crestwood Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1936, in Morgan County to Leldon Day and Ruth Mae Murphy Day. He was a Supervisor, working for Monsanto for 37 years prior to his retirement and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mr. Day was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Heart Association.
