Jacob Cody “Jake” Sanders, 24, of Florence, born March 29, 1991, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 24, 2016, at noon, at Cordova High School. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 24, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Cordova High School, with burial at Sardis Cemetery on the River Road. J.J. Creel and Joseph Holdbrooks will officiate.
Sanders’ favorite hobbies were bass fishing, deer hunting and his musical time spent with the Velcro Pygmies.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Winford Sanders.
He is survived by his mother, Lydia Sanders of Cordova; father, Mike Sanders of Cordova; sister, Mandy Russell of Cordova; sister-in-law, Brittney Sanders of Killen; niece, Emma Russell of Cordova; brother-in-law, Billy Russell of Cordova; grandparents, Joseph E. and Joan Holdbrooks of Cordova and Christine Sanders of Cordova; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jeremiah and Jacob Sanders Scholarship Fund at Cordova High School.
