Mary Lucille Hargrove, 92 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at National Health Care Center in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, February 3, 1924 in Lewisburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Hershell C. Gates and the late Delia Mack White Gates. She was a member of Elkton Church of Christ and was a fabulous cook. She loved to quilt , sew, and read. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: James “Big” Hargrove, and siblings: Allen Gates, Carl Gates, Lorene Adams, Gerald Gates, Oscar Mack Gates, and Byron Gates.
Surviving are sons, Michael (Beverly) Hargrove of Ardmore, AL and Jeffery Allen Hargrove of Swartz Creek, MI, brother, Howard Gates of Ardmore, TN, sister, Iris Dean McAnear of Decatur, AL, grandchildren: Kimberly Ann Brooks, Patrick Hargrove, Whitney Redoudty, and Jennifer St. Pierre, and great-grandchildren: Andrew Brooks and Evan Hargrove.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery, Elkmont, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
