Algie Irene Burgess House, 100, passed away March 14, 2016, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was of the church of Christ faith and a nurse’s aide at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home.
Survivors include son, James David House and wife, Lucille; sisters, Sue Hargett, Flora Goodman, and Jean Starkey; grandsons, Jeremiah Patrick House and Chris Johnson; and a host of nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by parents, George and Pearl Fowler Burgess; grandson, Ricky English Jr.; husband, Nattie L. “Bud” House; brothers, Alvin, Belton, and Ellis Burgess; and sisters, Pauline Pennington, Audrey Kelley, and Vonna Graham.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lone Cedar Church of Christ with Brother Tim Grigsby officiating. The body will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
