Athens Police Investigating Homicide At Higgins Court

ATHENS-The Athens Police have confirmed that a homicide did take place at Higgins Court Apartments on Hine Street in Athens today, Monday March 14.

Investigators with the Athens Police say they do have a suspect but are not releasing the name.  APD working to get an arrest warrant. Will release suspect’s info once that warrant is obtained.

Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson will be releasing a statement concerning the shooting later today.  When we get more information from the Chief we will publish his statement.
