FLORENCE HARBOR – Rescue teams from several Alabama counties have been assisting Lauderdale and Colbert resources pretty much since the initial disappearance of 2 fishermen on March 2nd. The fishermen have been identified as brothers Jacob and Jeremiah Sanders, who went out for a short fishing trip beneath the spillways of Wilson Dam. Presumed lost, these rescue teams have faced swift waters, cold temperatures and, at times heavy rains. Today is no different.

This morning boats from several North Alabama counties have taken to rainy Lake Pickwick to assist local vessels in the search for the bodies of the men. It has been raining all morning. Florence/Lauderdale EMA Director George Grabrian says the weather forecast for today is improving. Weather forecasters are predicting an end to the precipitation by midday. That should make the search somewhat easier. Everyone at the river is hoping for a resolution.
