Mrs. Opal Laverne Harrison, 88, of Florence passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her residence. She was a member of Florence First Assembly of God. She retired from Monarch Tile and she had her own upholstery shop. She was a member of the Shoals Dulcimer Group.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The funeral service will begin at Noon in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tommy James and the Rev. Jim Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Harrison; parents, Robert and Kate Wilkinson and all of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son, Patrick Ray Harrison (Jennifer) of Glen Allen, VA.; daughters, Joyce (Jim) Thacker and Cheryl (Johnny) Wilson both of Florence; grandchildren, Kim Pettus and James, Libby and Becca Harrison; great-grandchildren, Kaiti Adomyetz and Zach Skains and two great-great grandchildren, Khloe and Kylee Adomyetz.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Wilkinson, Jason Wilkinson, Tim Phillips, Butch Mays, Anthony Pettus and Ben Adomyetz.
