TUPELO-The Tupelo Police Department along with the help of the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department arrested one suspect on charges of Selling Drugs on Tuesday, March 8:
“On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, the North MS Narcotics Unit and the Tupelo Police Dept conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Saleem Allahi aka “Sal”. During a search of the vehicle agents discovered ten amphetamine pills. Agents also served two felony arrest warrants issued y the Lee County Circuit Court for the sale of spice. These two warrants were the result of an undercover operation conducted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and the North MS Narcotics Unit for the illegal distribution of spice that was taking place from a business located on Hwy 371 North, Mooreville. Lee County Circuit Court issued a bond of $10,000 on each of the sale charges. Agents also seized $3,433.oo in US currency at the time of Allahi’s arrest. The Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department also assisted in the undercover operation.
