Drowning Victim Near Double Bridges In Marshall County

4e45a2a480145.imageMARSHALL COUNTY –According to authorities a 17-year-old man fell into the water at  Double Bridges near Asbury data=RfCSdfNZ0LFPrHSm0ublXdzhdrDFhtmHhN1u-gM,Yn7UiG2RxApuyhlaKgC0fTJLi1PNcBF1egluq-h69_X0wcQIGeTmFza7owxUXUt_hRhrVZvj8rbydjPywJwjx54oBHaAyAon Monday, March 7th.  His friends tried to get him out of the water but he got caught up in the currents and was pulled under.  When he did not emerge from under the water friends notified authorities by calling 911.

The Asbury Volunteer Fire Department along with Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies, And State Troopers and other local fire and rescue responded to the 911 call around 12 PM on Monday.  A search ensued but was suspended due to darkness.

The search resumed Tuesday morning and the body of the teen was found about a quarter of a mile down stream from the bridges.  Search crews were searching by boat when the body was discovered.

The name of the victim has not been released.
