Evelyn Jeanette Yielding, 78, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1937, to Bundy and Vera Elizabeth Lee Baker. She was a member of the Unity Church of God of Prophecy, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching television, especially John Wayne westerns.
Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, March 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Curtis Shelton and Bro. Jeremy Lincoln officiating. Burial will be in the Mantachie Cemetery.
McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Bobby Yielding; three sons, Danny Yielding (Jennifer), Billy Yielding, and Erik Yielding (Cassandra), all of Mantachie; one daughter, Teresa Donahue (Keith) of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Beth Moore (Donald), Madison Donahue, Andrea Yielding, Ethan Yielding , Jase Yielding, Brock Milam, and Craig and Toni Gusmus; and four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Blake, Conner, and Dylan Moore.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Ernest, Edward, Leslie, Louis, and Lamon Baker; three sisters, Edith Austin, Edgelle Conrad, and Era Baker; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Friday, March 4, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
