Jeffrey Scott Crisler, 49, passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 6, 1966, to Truman Ussery and Marcella Crisler. He is survived by his parents; son, Andrew Crisler; daughter, Aiden Crisler; brother, Brad Crisler (Dawn); nieces, Audra Crisler and Carmen Crisler; grandmother, Elizabeth Gargis Keel; and special friend, Tammy Bruton. He served his country with distinction as a Specialist in the United States Army four years: 3rd Battalion, 32nd Armor Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. His service medals include: Bronze Service Stars, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medals for Meritorious Service. He was a member of Town Creek United Methodist Church, a loving father, son, brother, and uncle who will be sorely missed. The family will receive friends today at Jackson Memory Funeral Home in Town Creek from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Jackson Memory, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
