David Jeff Campbell, age 74, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell retired as battalion chief with Florence Fire Rescue after 40 years of service. He was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Florence Blvd. Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Campbell.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Glenda Malone Campbell; his children, Dave Campbell (Tammy), Amanda Campbell Gooch (Wade), and Jeff Campbell (Chellye); sister, Joan Counts (Dan); grandsons, Dustin Campbell and Campbell Gooch; and great-grandsons, Jackson and Kale Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
