Funeral for Gerald McLain Blaxton, 69, of Moulton will be Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Smallwood and Rev. Allen Kuykendall officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Blaxton died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at his residence. He was born, June 20, 1946, to Percy Blaxton and Maudie Bell Blaxton. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Briscoe; brother, Robert Blaxton; three sisters, Odean Tucker, Marie Owen and Glenda Owens; and her parents.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Blaxton; three sons, Randell Blaxton, Rodney Blaxton and Anthony Blaxton; three stepsons, Brandon Keenum, Andy Keenum and Devin Keenum; god-child, Tammy Harris; two sisters, Regina Waugh and Mavis Milligan; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Golan Harris, Allen Vinson, Billy Smallwood, Brandon Keenum, Devin Keenum and Chad Cooper.
