Funeral service for Foree Porter, 83, will be Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Enon Baptist Church in Danville, with Rev. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Porter died on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born January 29, 1933, in Lawrence County to Robert Isom Hensley and Myrtie Belle Wilborn Hensley. She was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved her family and all children not just her own. She was preceded in death by her parents.
