Malcolm R. KingMalcolm R. King, 100, of Florence passed away on February 19, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Waynesboro, Tennessee, but he lived many years in Florence, Alabama. He served our nation in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Cloverdale Methodist Church. He was also actively involved in several local organizations. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 477, of Sheffield, Waynesboro Masonic Lodge Number 127 and the American Legion.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on February 21, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford King and Nannie Belle King and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Balentine King, six step-daughters and several step grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be step grandsons.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers of Gentiva Hospice, Bonnie Ragan, Cindy Irons, Gina Fraley and Jane Hanback.
