Betty Ferguson Herrera, age 76, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the South Hampton Nursing Home in Owens Cross Roads. Born August 30, 1938 in Sheffield, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas “J.T.” Ferguson and Nell Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, David Marlon Headrick, and both parents. She is survived by her children Christie Rusidoff and her husband Jimmy of Scottsboro and Ricky Herrera of Atlanta, four grandchildren Garrett & Andria Sexton of Scottsboro and Rachel & Jake Herrera of Atlanta, brother Glenn Ferguson and wife Donna, & brother Vann Ferguson of Huntsville, 1st cousin Angie Hall of Owens Cross Roads, nephew John Ferguson of Nashville, TN, niece Lilly Ferguson Johns of Huntsvilleand 2nd cousin Kim Chamberlain in addition to many loving cousins and friends. Memorial services will be conducted at 12 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Chamberlain officiating. A graveside service will be conducted following the worship service at Camp Ground Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 AM until 12 PM at the funeral home.
