Dorothy Massey Letson, 83, was born in Mt. Hope, Alabama Feb. 15, 1933, and died at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama on Feb. 19, 2016. She was a retired dispatcher for South Central Bell after 32 years.
She is survived by daughters, Evon Letson, Villages, Florida, and Jo Ann Hill (Edward), Hatton, Alabama; grandsons, Alan Edward (Kelly), Mt. Hope, Alabama, and Joseph Michael Hill (Brittany), Mt. Hope, Alabama; great-granddaughter, Jolea Grace Hill; and great-grandson, Hunter Joseph Hill.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph E. Letson; father, Gerald Massey; mother, Avon Golden Massey; brother, Shirley Massey; and sisters, Joyce Massey Brooks and Patricia Ann Massey.
She was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be noon-1:45 p.m. Monday at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Moulton Memory Gardens. Keith Jones is officiating. Church family will serve as pallbearers.
