Dr. David Glenn Yokley, age 67, passed away at Huntsville Hospital on Saturday, February 13, 2016. He was born February 29, 1948, in Nashville, TN, grew up in Florence, AL, and proudly served in the US Navy. He earned a BS degree at UNA, then a DMD degree at UAB. Dr. Yokley practiced in Gadsden, then 30+ years in Huntsville and Madison with his partner, Dr. Donald G. Porch, Jr. He moved to Lake Guntersville in 2012 and retired in 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Green Fikes Yokley; his children, Audra Yokley (Nicholas Hamel), Taylor Yokley, Stacy Patterson, Kelly Trahan (Paul), Rocky Fikes (Caroline), and Benjamin Fikes (Charee); his grandchildren, Zoe Trahan, Harrison, Lucas, Eli, and Colin Fikes; his father, Paul Yokley, Jr.; and sister, Mary-jane Creel (Larry). He was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine Simpson Yokley; and his mother, Betty Yokley.
Services will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, 2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL. Visitation begins at 12 pm.
