A Celebration of Life for Jane Gray Patterson, 84, of Decatur, who passed away Feb. 8, 2016, will be Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Brother Steve Smith officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Patterson was born Jan. 6, 1932. She attended Beltline Church of Christ. Mrs. Patterson was a long distance operator with Bell South for 35 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hartwell “Pat” Patterson; daughter, Karen Joy Patterson; son, Tony Patterson; her parents, Hubert and Ethel Gray; brother, Euel Dean Gray.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Terry (Thad); four grandchildren, Josh Patterson, Terri Patterson, Drew Terry and Kyle Terry; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Hastings and Brody Whisman; two brothers, James “Shap” Gray (Jane) and Kenneth Gray (Marilyn).
Pallbearers will be Josh Patterson, Drew Terry, Kyle Terry, Blake Terry, Clay Terry and Derrick Knoblock.
