LAUDERDALE COUNTY- The ALEA has identified a man who was killed in an auto accident on Tuesday, February 2.
“A single-vehicle crash at 2:05 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, has claimed the life of a Florence man. Rayfield Ragland, 80, was killed when the 2007 Chevrolet HHR in which he was a passenger left the roadway and struck a tree.
Ragland was transported to ECM Hospital in Florence where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle’s driver, Otha Cooper Ragland, 74, of Florence, was also transported to ECM Hospital.
The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 2 near the intersection of Lauderdale County 220, three miles west of Florence.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
