Funeral service for Ethel Ann Ables, age 81, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Mrs. Ables passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Lincoln Medical Center.
Mrs. Ables was a naitve of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Joe Douglas and Sally Cunningham Thorpe. She was a retired nurse at the Lincoln Regional Hospital and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include sisters Jean Wright of Gallatin, TN, Faye Harwell of Frankewing, TN, Martha (Jerry) Thorpe of Dellrose, TN, brother Wayne Thorpe of Frankewing, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Ables and brothers Joe Thorpe, Douglas Thorpe and Dick Thorpe.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
