Jimmie Rogers Hester, 85, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Burns Nursing Home, Russellville.
Mr. Hester lived his whole life in Franklin County, Alabama and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran, Private 1st Class, and was retired from Bellsouth after 38 years of service.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 30 from 12:30 p.m until 2:00 p.m. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Bond officiating. Burial will follow in Knights of Pythais Cemetery.
Survivors include children; Alan Rogers Hester (Janet Morris Hester), siblings; Brenda James (Howard), Gene Hester (Lois) grandchildren; Jacob Andrew Hester, Luke Alan Hester, several nieces and nephews and one great niece and nephew.
He is preceded in death by, parents; Harvey and Selma Hester; wife; Willodene Hester and brother, Bobby Hester.
