LIMESTONE COUNTY-The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement about the arrest of a suspect in the shooting that took place Monday night, January 25.

“UPDATE: suspect Ramon Sanchez is in custody at the Limestone County Jail.
UPDATE: suspect vehicle has been identified as a light blue 1987 Chevrolet Nova, bearing Alabama license plate 44CL609.
A man is in stable condition in Huntsville Hospital after being shot in southeastern Limestone County Monday night. Investigators with Limestone County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a possible suspect in the shooting, which occurred on Cotton Tree Way near Greenbrier Road.
Ramon Sanchez, a Hispanic male approximately 30-32 years old, 5’8” and about 200 pounds, is wanted for questioning regarding the shooting. He is believed to be driving a light blue Toyota Corolla, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a University of Alabama National Championship shirt, and a black jacket. Sanchez is possibly armed with a .380 handgun, believed to have been used in the shooting.
Limestone County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Madison Police Department shortly after 9:00 PM when the victim drove himself to the Madison Hospital and checked himself in with two gunshot wounds to his left arm. He was transported to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition, but has since stabilized.”
