Troy “Sonny” Johnson, age 55, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Highland Park Church of Christ with memorial services following. Michael Jackson and Ben Hayes will officiate.
Troy was a native of Jasper, Alabama and grew up in Phil Campbell but lived most of his life in Muscle Shoals. He was a retired bridge inspector with DOT State of Alabama. He was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ and former member of Muscle Shoals Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Betty Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lecia Davis Johnson; life-long friend, Hugh Owings; his special buddy, Gus; and a host of family and friends.
He loved spoiling his niece and three nephews and loved Auburn football.
Troy’s family expresses special thanks to Dr. Brad McAnalley and staff and to Hospice of North Alabama especially Helen and Machele.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
