Josephine M. Massey (nee McGee) passed away on Jan. 21, 2016, in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 86. Jo was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Florence, Alabama to Jim and Irma McGee. She lived in Louisville for 37 years and was a member of the Westport Road Church of Christ in Louisville, Kentucky.
Jo was preceded in death by her late husband, Bill Massey; her parents; her son-in-law, Jim Davis; and her two sisters, Agnes Marks and Evelyn Killen, both of Florence, Alabama.
Jo was married to her husband, Bill Massey, for 53 years. They have three children, Billie Jo Davis (the late Jim Davis) of Ballwin, Missouri, Teresa Hoskins (Phil), of Columbia, Missouri, and Brown Massey (Gail), of Louisville, Kentucky.
In addition to her children, Jo is also survived by six grandchildren, Matthew Davis (Jamie) and Christopher Davis (Amanda), of Ballwin, Missouri, Adam Hoskins (Laura Mortensen), of Kansas City, Missouri, Anna Hoskins, of Columbia, Missouri, Katie Fromholt (Jordan), of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Sara Massey, of Louisville, Kentucky. Jo is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Josie and Wesley Davis, Alexis and Tommy Davis, and Brody Fromholt.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday night, Jan. 24, at the Arch Heady and Son Funeral Home at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd., Louisville, Kentucky. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday morning, Jan. 25, at the Westport Road Church of Christ located at 4500 Westport Rd., Louisville, Kentucky and officiated by Arnis Pape.
