Thomas Charles Tiff – Obituary

thomasThomas Charles Tiff, age 82, was a longtime resident of Akron, Ohio. He passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his family. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Tiff and Janet A. Graham. He was born on May 17, 1933, in Hastings, Nebraska.

Tom was a retired furniture and auto upholsterer and auto glass technician.

He is survived by his children, Sherry (Clark), of Florence, Alabama, Lisa, of Girard, Ohio, Diane, of Girard, Ohio, Sandy, of Groveport, Ohio, Tommy, of Peralta, New Mexico, Debbie (Arnie), of Lexington, Alabama, Chris (Keith), of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Stephanie (Jay), of Killen, Alabama; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks goes to Tom’s friend of over 40 years, Emmanuel “Mickey” Lewis, who had always stuck by him and kept him going during the last seven years of being away from his hometown Akron, Ohio.

The family would also like to thank Kristin, Ashley, Richard, Dorothy, Priscilla, Hollie, Leigh, Dawn and the rest of the staff of Amedisys Hospice Care.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, from 2-3:30 p.m. and memorial service from 3:30-4 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, of Florence. Licia House is officiating.
