Martin F. Holt, 95, passed away Dec. 30, 2015.
He was the son of the late Richard and Ada Belle (Blundell) Holt.
Born in Florence, Alabama, on Oct. 5, 1920, he was an Arkansas resident since 1978 after retiring from General Motors Truck & Coach in Pontiac, Michigan. At 95 years old, he had many stories to tell about his service as a World War II Naval veteran that served in both the Atlantic (invasion of Normandy, France) and the Pacific theaters (Okinawa, Japan). He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; stepdaughter, Rose Marie Spears; and daughter, Deborah Lynn Holt. He is survived by one daughter, Marcia (Gerald) Simpson; two grandchildren, Brian Simpson and Shannon (James) Sanders; as well as five great-grandchildren.
