Barbara Jean “Darrah” Tompkins, age 82, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with graveside services to follow at 3 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Doc Shell is officiating. Mrs. Tompkins was a volunteer at the Sheffield Library, a member of Christ Chapel, and retired from Reynolds.
Mrs. Tompkins was preceded in death by husband, Gene Tompkins; sister, Mary Alice Barrett; brother-in-law Bill Barrett; and nephew, Billy Barrett.
Survivors are friends and family.
