Steve Russell departed this life on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at the age of 59 years, 11 months, 21 days. He was born and raised in Pekin, Illinois on December 29, 1955, the son of Willie Russell and the late Lois Pilkington Johnson. On January 10, 1976, he was united in marriage to Deborah Wolfe, who survives.
Steve was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. He loved his Lord, his family, and his church. He loved serving his Lord and savior Jesus Christ by helping others. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working outdoors, and vacationing in the mountains.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debbie Russell of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Cale Russell and wife Holly, and Magen Russell all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Cohen Russell and Micah Russell; father, Willie Russell of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Donna Russell of Savannah, Tennessee; Linda of Illinois, and Shelia of Peoria, Illinois; a brother, Mark Russell of Pekin, Illinois; a special friend, Greg Patterson of Illinois; a host of extended family and friends.
