Frances Marie Rainwater, 88, passed away December 16, 2015 at Forest Cove Nursing Home. She was born October 24, 1927 in Jackson, TN the daughter of the late Charlie Mack Stepp and Lessie Olivia Dale Chappell. Mrs. Rainwater was an employee of the Bemis Cotton Mill for over 20 years, Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital for over 37 years and was a faithful member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Vantreese of Jackson, TN, Janie Ross Knoxville, TN, Robbie Mathes of Jackson, TN and Suzanne Perkins and husband John of Jackson, TN; six grandchildren, Jonathan Ross and wife Brena, Jenny Ross Shaughnessy and husband Ryan, Angela Ingram, John-Michael Perkins and wife Allie, Tyler Perkins and Suzanne Bochenek and; great grandchildren, Abbigail Ingram, Grayson and Michael Jack Shaughnessy, Amanda Snider Casey and husband Bobby, Jennifer Booker and Tim Vantreese , Ace and Finley Casey, Jenna Booker ; great great grandchildren, Adrianne, Sidney and Shannon Vantreese.
She was preceded in death by her husband sixty-five years, Robert A. “Buck” Rainwater; an infant son, Otha Bennet “Benji” Beshires, two grandsons, Claude Wayne and John Steven Vantreese; two son in laws, Phil Mathes and Claude Muse Vantreese Jr., Seven brothers and three sisters.
SERVICES: Funeral services for Mrs. Rainwater will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2015 with Rev. Donald Lance, Rev. David Hill and Rev. Stan Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers to serve are: John Perkins, Tyler Perkins, Sam Johnson, Jerry Ross, Larry Futral, Chad Scroggins.
