“These suspects are also believed to be the same persons that have passed counterfeit bills in Lawrence and Marion County. Russellville Police Investigators are asking all local businesses to be very cautious with anyone attempting to pay for any purchase using $50 bills. Over the past three days we have been notified of at least 6 counterfeit $50 bills being passed here locally. Investigators are working with other jurisdictions in Lawrence & Marion Counties in an attempt to catch the person(s) passing this counterfeit money. Again PLEASE be cautious when accepting any $50 for payment. If any business feels they have already fell victim to these suspect(s) please contact your local Law Enforcement Agency.”
