Funeral for Peter Donald Christofferson, 57, of Hillsboro, will be Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at Parkway Funeral Home at noon with Johnny Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Christofferson, who died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, was born June 20, 1958, to John Christofferson and Betty Sell Christofferson. He graduated from Luxemburg-Casco in 1976, a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Luxemburg, Wisconsin, baptised June 29, 1958, and confirmed March 21, 1972. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1981 where he was in the marching band. Using his chemical engineering degree to work for companies such as Cargill, Continental Grain, Kiewit, T.I.C., Center Ethanol, Abengoa-Bio Energy, he received numerous awards for project excellent work ethic and preserving company assets. He enjoyed boating at the river, the Green Bay Packers, and loved to cook his award winning chili. He married Lynn Johnson on Dec. 24, 2002 in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include wife, Lynn Christofferson; son, Phillip Christofferson; daughter, Kaylan Christofferson; stepson, Benjamin Burks; sisters, Mary (Jay) Mork, Kaye Damery; and granddaughter, Jada Lynn Burks.
