Max C. Lassiter – Obituary

MaxMax C. Lassiter, 85, of Huntsville passed away Friday. Max was an Army veteran and retired engineer of 30 years with NASA.

Max grew up in Lucedale, MS, and was a longtime resident of Huntsville. He was an alumnus of Mississippi State University. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a lifelong tennis enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie W. “Bill” Lassiter, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Regina J. Lassiter; son, Joseph Lassiter (Melissa) of Birmingham; daughter, Jane Lassiter of Huntsville; granddaughters, Lauren and Caroline Lassiter; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with Dr. Rick Owen officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. (www.laughlinservice.com)
