Elaine Mason Harrison Wilson, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, Dec. 7, 2015, at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Huntsville, Alabama.
A celebration of life service for Elaine will be held Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Florence at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Kenny Baskins and the Rev. Robert Sparkman. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Elaine was born Feb. 24, 1918, in Florence, Alabama the eldest daughter of Benjamin Franklin Mason and Opha Roberts Mason. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene M. Harrison and Ellis Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Moore and husband, Herschel, of Huntsville; son, Ben Harrison and wife, Jackie, of Rome, Georgia; four grandchildren, Sheri Baskins and husband, Kenny, of Athens, Tracy Manush and husband, Mark, of Huntsville, Tim Harrison and wife, Elizabeth Hearn, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Maggie Harrison and partner, Zelda Saeli, of San Francisco, Califronia; and five great-grandchildren.
She grew up in Florence and graduated from Coffee High School and Larimore Business College. While moving throughout the Tennessee Valley with Gene’s career for TVA, she had a career as a secretary.
She was an avid traveler taking advantage of all opportunities to see the world.
Elaine was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school, led Bible studies, and held many leadership positions in every church she attended.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
