Donald Jones Borden, 61, of Ardmore died Dec. 6, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital.
Born Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1954, in Courtland, he was the son of the late Floyd Borden and Allie Morgan Borden. He was a lifelong resident of North Alabama and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He also enjoyed truck driving, Alabama football and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roger Dale Borden and Jackie Wayne Borden.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean Borden; sons, Jody (Susan) Bordan and Jamie (Melanie) Borden, both of Eva, Jimmy Don Borden of Decatur, Paul (Julie) Rolin of Trinity and David Rolin of Decatur; brothers, Stanley Borden and Thomas Borden, both of Priceville; sisters, Clara Lang of Greenbrier, Deborah James and Brenda James, both of Falkville, Mary Miller of Athens and Carolyn Cottingham of Decatur; and grandchildren, Lindsay Borden, Jake Borden, Langston Jones Borden, Matthew Rolin, Annabelle Rolin, Adam Rolin, Allie Bice and Eli Bice.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at noon at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Leslie Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Go Lightly Cemetery in Toney. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
