DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department on November 16 received a check from the St. Florian Police Department for the medical fund set up for Officer Josh Driggers. Here is a statement from the Decatur Police Department regarding the presentation:
“On 11/16/2015, Chief Ralph Richey of the St. Florian Police Department presented a check for $2,000 from the North Alabama Chiefs of Police Association to Officer Josh Driggers. Josh could not make it that day, so his mother, Terasa Driggers, accepted the check on his behalf. The check presentation was conducted during the Decatur City Council meeting.
As many of you are aware, Josh has been struggling with a cancer diagnosis. The police department has had a wonderful response from the community, city employees, and surrounding police agencies supporting Josh and his family in this very difficult time. Thanks so much!”
