Paul Douglas Fox, 73, of Florence, AL, passed away November 19, 2015 after a brief illness. Mr. Fox was a retired pipefitter and a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Fox is survived by wife Judy Sharp Fox; son Christopher Allen Fox; daughter Mitzi McCall; brother Wayne Fox; sisters June Reid and Barbara Gail Henry; and grandchildren Nick Hollingsworth, Paul Benjamin, Matthew Fox, Zach McCall, and Mark McCall. He was preceded in death by his parents John Lee Fox and Lucille Swaner Fox.
Our daddy died yesterday suddenly. He and my mom were married 54 years. Dad was 17 and mom was 16. He loved mom and his family passionately. Dad truly lived life to the fullest until the last. So many memories- too hard to capture here. To give a very small idea of my dad just in the last two weeks- he made blueberry jam, burned his favorite music on CDs (which he would give to friends and us), painted a bald eagle and bought a selfie stick to take pictures of the family on Thanksgiving. He was a one of a kind and always “did it his way” until his last moment. There’s an absence here at the home I was raised in today. God bless by precious dad.
