Charlie Buford Harper age 85 of Madison, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Harper was born July 8, 1930 in Madison County, AL to Tinker Harper and Lou Alice Stinnett Harper.
Services will be Friday, November 20, 2015 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Ricky Lowery officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Harper was a member of Greenbrier Baptist Church, and was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Survived by his wife, Gladys Harper of Madison, two daughters, Janet Compton of Cleveland, TN and Susan Hunt and husband, James of Madison; one son, Jerry Harper and wife, Peggy of Madison; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Josie McMurtrie of Harvest, AL; numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Harper, Clint Howard, Shiloh Harper, Lannie Towe, Shane Towe and Brandon Towe. Honorary pallbearer will be Bubba Towe.
