Lisa Wood, 48, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Lisa was an incredibly caring, loving, thoughtful mom, wife and friend. She was known for staying up all night to finish a special and personal gift or special project for kids and loved ones. She always wanted loved ones to have something especially memorable tied to their interests. Lisa wanted to take care of the weakest among us including animals, from the birds she fed diligently to the little cat she said she “didn’t like” while assuring it had choice of food and the cutest personalized collar and tag. She will always be remembered as a kind and generous person with very particular ways that we will all remember fondly. Lisa was intelligent and funny but supremely stubborn.

Survivors include her husband, Mark C. Wood; son, Tate Wood; daughter, Marielle Wood; mother, Suzie Ensinger and husband, Milton; and sister, Cynthia Headrick.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 18 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. No further services are planned at this time.
