Marcille Jeffries Walker, age 88, of Florence, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, from noon-2 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home, of Florence. Services will follow in the chapel of Elkins at 2 p.m., with Brother Doc Shell officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walker; mother, Birdie Jeffries; father, W.L. Jeffries; two brothers, Walter Lee Jeffries and Harold Ray Jeffries; two sisters, Lorene Hyde and Louise Trousdale.
Marcille is survived by five nieces, Peggy Childers Brown, Pam Kirkland (Steve), Kim Gieck (Max), Renee O’Brien (Shawn) and Sabrina Jo Sciulli (Dino).
She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Russell Caden, Charles Malone, Bud Walker, Bobby Malone, Cameron Thorn and Tyler Childers. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Don Childers, Steve Kirkland, Randy Childers, James Walker and Steve Childers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Dr Ridgeway and Helen Keller Hospital and staff.
